Dr. Ilya “Eli” Sluch, M.D.

Growing up in Oklahoma, Dr. Sluch has known the importance of vision from a young age. His father lost an eye in accident at a young age and his grandfather lost his vision from glaucoma. After graduation from Oklahoma State University, Dr. Sluch went to the University of Oklahoma to complete his MD and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society on graduation.

He then completed a general surgery internship in St. Louis before starting his Ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Dean McGee Eye Institute. Because of Dr. Sluch’s interest in eye surface diseases and corneal transplant, he then went to complete a Cornea and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.

The family then elected to stay in Florida, and Dr. Sluch has been treating patients in the Central Florida area since 2018.

In his spare time, Dr. Sluch enjoys disk golf, tennis, hiking, and spending time with is wife and daughters.
